If you’re like me, when you sit down at an Italian restaurant, you can’t wait for the bread. Well, now you don’t have to wait to indulge! This dipping oil literally takes minutes to make and tastes just like the oil you get from Carrabba’s!
Yesterday was Sir Wesley’s birthday so I made him a homemade meal of fettuccine alfredo, complete with Italian bread (from the Publix bakery!) and this copycat dipping oil.
You can make this oil ahead of time – it keeps for quite a while. You can double or triple the recipe if you want. And there’s no need to refrigerate. You can also adjust any of the spices to your liking – you really can’t mess it up.
- 1/4 tablespoon basil
- 1/4 tablespoon parsley
- 1/4 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup olive oil
Whisk all your ingredients together and serve! If you’re making enough to save some for later, store it in an air-tight container, like a jar. When serving, pour into a shallow dish so when you’re dipping you don’t miss any of the good stuff!
