It’s a wet day in Central Alabama and it’s not letting up anytime soon. That’s okay, though because we really need it.
I need a boat to get through my yard to the driveway. Which, by the way, reminds me that I have to get out in this mess to go to the grocery store later. I’m out of Mtn Dew, but that’s a whole other story.
Eric got up before Jase and me this morning to cook breakfast. He made the best sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches! After I recovered from breakfast and got the kitchen cleaned back up – I clean as I go when I cook but when Eric cooks, the kitchen ends up looking like a tornado hit the kitchen – I decided to make some sugar cookies. Sorry folks… they weren’t homemade – they were Pillsbury. But I did make some icing to on them!
- Cut a stick of butter into cubes and put in your mixing bowl. Mix it up until it’s soft.
- Add 1/3 cup powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon milk to the bowl. Keep mixing keeping it smooth.
- Repeat that 2 more times. On the 3rd round, add the powdered sugar and see what your consistency looks like. You may or may not need the milk this time around.
Let it cool to room temperature before you spread it on and that’s it!
